Tarmoola Joint Venture

The Company and Pacmin Mining Corporation Limited (PACMIN) are the joint venturers in this project which is located approximately 28 kilometres north-west of Leonora and 7 kilometres south-west of the Tarmoola gold mine. The assets of the joint venture consist of 28 granted Prospecting Licences, 2 Prospecting Licence applications and 10 Mining Lease applications.

Work completed to date on the tenements has placed PACMIN in a good position to assess the prospectivity of the tenement package as a whole, and to identify new high-potential targets.

The tenements occupy a highly prospective structural corridor that hosts the Tarmoola, Sons of Gwalia, Harbour Lights and Tower Hill gold mines. They are situated along the northern margin of the Raeside batholith and within the greenstone succession that immediately overlies it.

Gold mineralisation is recorded within the joint venture area at the Diorite King, Little Wonder and Kurrajong workings.

Prior to September 1998, PACMIN (formerly Mount Edon Gold Mines) purchased and conducted a preliminary interpretation of Tesla 10 multiclient aeromagnetic and radiometric data. A significant Lag/MMI program was undertaken (3,314 samples), mapping of the Raeside area was completed as part of an Honours project, and a vacuum drill program was undertaken at Gratten Well (Argus project).

Since September 1998, PACMIN has focussed on developing a good understanding of the geology to enable robust targeting of mineralisation. This is considered extremely important given the potential for significant mineralisation to be concealed at a shallow depth in the area.

Further work undertaken has consisted of Raeside Solid Geology Interpretation, Magnetic Worming, Outcrop Mapping, Aeromagnetic Interpretation, GIS Data Compilation and the identification of high-potential exploration targets.
